Calle Ocho

THE PLACE

Calle Ocho is one big party. It's boisterous and loud and people are fired up just to be there. While there are small booths for a party of two, most brunchies™ at Calle Ocho are in large groups celebrating special occasions and soaking in the energy of the orange and yellow room and Latin beats.

What to Eat

Start by enjoying the complementary cheese bread (Pao de Queijo) that will arrive at your table, and served in an old cigar box. For an entree go for the Pollo Ranchero made with a Crispy Corn Tortilla, Refried Black Beans, Chicken Escabeche, Scrambled Eggs and Ranchero Sauce. For something sweet, try the Pan Relleno, a delightful Guava and Cream Cheese Stuffed French Toast with Star Anis Syrup.

What to Drink

The Sangria of course! Unlimited Sangria is served with your entree making this one of the best priced deals around town. You have eight different sangrias to choose from, four white (blancas) and four red (rojas). Try just one, or try them all!

Reservation Policy

Brunch reservations are accepted and highly recommended. Walk ins will have a wait.

Diablo Royale - CLOSED

THE PLACE

Diablo Royale has a lively atmosphere with fun Mexican and devil-themed decor (think devil horn chandeliers) and long tables for group seating. It's a fun spot for a party or birthday brunch due to the shareable plates, buzzy setting, and flow of tequila. Bonus: there is an East Village location too if you're more of an East-side crew.

What to Eat

Go for the $26 deal that includes unlimited drinks and a brunch entree, and order the Huevos Rancheros. Diablo has classic Mexican fare that will pair well with the plethora of brunch cocktails heading your way. You'll also want to get a few sides of guacamole for the table.

What to Drink

Obviously the unlimited margaritas that come with the prix fixe. Diablo Royale serves them on the rocks or frozen for those super hot summer days. Be careful, they go down a little too smooth. Mimosas, bloody Marys, Rickys and sangria are also part of the unlimited cocktail special.

Reservation Policy

Reservations are accepted for parties of three or more.

Harry's Cafe

THE PLACE

Harry's has been bringing classic American fare to FiDi for the last 30 years (before it was even called FiDi, maybe). It's a boisterous spot to visit during happy hour, and keeps its booziness going for Saturday brunch. We like the old New York feel and fun group seating.

What to Eat

The Brunch Prix Fixe menu is $42 per person, and includes an appetizer, entree and dessert (and drinks). The Duck & Mushroom Hash with poached eggs and toast is particularly delectable, and for a sweet ending, pick the cheesecake if it's on the menu.

What to Drink

This is the highlight of Harry's brunch: there's UNLIMITED champagne, which you can choose to top off with orange, grapefruit, blood orange, or peach nectar juice for an extra $8 a liter. Just beware-- there is a 2-hour table limit!

Reservations are accepted for parties of two or more.
