Andanada is a beautiful Spanish restaurant on the Upper West Side and it recently was awarded a Michelin star. Brunch is particularly memorable, as every Sunday at noon you can enjoy a live Flamenco show. Sit in the main dining room next to the massive mural of a matador and bull, or score the tables in the back if you have a large group and want to dine under the skylight.
WHAT TO EAT
Start with the Fried Artichokes with Grated Manchego Cheese, and then move onto the Calamari Sandwich. For something more traditional, the Huevos Iberico Benedict will leave you happy and satisfied. It's made with soft-cooked eggs on brioche toast, minced chorizo and topped with Hollandaise sauce.
WHAT TO DRINK
You're going to want to opt for the sangria and there's no need to stop at just one. For an additional $20, you can enjoy Unlimited glasses of sangria (and mimosas).
The covered back patio is a fantastic place for group get togethers and events. It offers an "indoor but feels like you are outdoor" vibe.
The Carriage House is located behind the restaurant and is a 2-story house that provides a very coy feel for a large group or special events.
The front of the main restaurant Palma has a rustic Italian feel and would be good for a date.
Sushi Samba has a great brunch. It is a Brazilian-Asian fusion restaurant and the brunch is solely Brazilian inspired. We've been really impressed with the brunch here and have also hosted numerous group events such as large group birthdays, baby showers & bridal showers in their beautiful, sunlit 2nd floor roof level. The space is really gorgeous and great for large group events. For the cuisine, you can expect both a Sweet & Savory menu. Sweets include items such as Doce de Leite French Toast, Housemade Quinoa Waffles, & Warm Churros. Savory dishes include items such as Churrasco & Eggs, Lobster Eggs Benedict, Shrimp & Polenta, Wagyu Sliders, and the Samba Cobb Salad. A traditional Brazilian Feijoda (savory stew of black bean, shredded pork, seared beef and carne seca with white rice, collard greens, farofa and fresh orange slices) is also on the menu. Bonus: We highly recommend you try their thick handcut bacon as well. It's delicious.
