A month and a half after its doors opened for dinner, Lafayette is now launching brunch. It is the sister of The Dutch and Locanda Verde, two very good and very popular spots. Lafayette is the French-inspired sister.
What to Eat
We thought we'd start off slow and choose one of their four different croissants, nibble on the Egg Lafayette and trout caviar appetizer, and then maybe the salmon benedict. But we did a doubletake after seeing Lemon Pancakes. If these are anything like the ones at Locanda, speed things up. Hurry, waiter we'll take ten!
What to Drink
Lafayette serves up a menu of freshly pressed juices like "Hyper C," a mix of orange, yuzu, and blood orange. For something with a little kick, the Basque Shandy (tequila, citrus, ginger, espelette, and IPA) will certainly do.
