JoeDoe

JoeDoe

THE PLACE

Joe & Misses Doe (nicknamed JoeDoe) is a small, relaxed restaurant with a big brick wall, a wood floor and wood tables. It's a bit quirky overall, especially with all the knick knacks on the walls. JoeDoe is a place you can go after literally having crawled out of bed, as the focus is on the food, not fashion. It is owned and operated by husband and wife team Joe and Jill Dobias-- the Joe and Misses Doe.

What to Eat

I'm a big fan of the Corned Duck Hash, and Cheddar White Corn Grits. And don't forget to save room for the Banana Bread Sundae for dessert!

What to Drink

For something refreshing to match this weather, try the The Honey Beer, made with Gin, Ale & Salted Honey.

Joseph Leonard

THE PLACE

If JoeDoe is small, Joseph Leonard is even smaller. Walking in is like entering an intimate den that makes you feel like you're part of a secret club.

What to Eat

For two people, order the Avocado Toast and Eggs, plus Joseph Leonard's version of a Benedict, (made with pain perdu, a hefty amount of smoked salmon, poached eggs and scallion cream). I highly recommend an order of the Brussels Sprouts Sriracha as a side as well.

What to Drink

The best bang for your buck is getting the Bloody Mary No. 20 made with your choice of cilantro or dil-infused vodka. Not only is it delicious, it's served with a beer chaser. Now that's a good deal.
