Bustan

THE PLACE

Outdoor seating? Check. Pan-Mediterranean cuisine? Check. Close to Central Park? Check. Bustan is quickly becoming a neighborhood "go-to," and the whimsical atmosphere will have you feeling like you are in another world.

What to Eat

Bustan has an enormous brunch menu that will make any finicky eater happy. In addition to pancakes and Nutella pizza, Bustan offers six types of Mediterranean Shakshouka and four different Benedicts. We like the Bustan Benedict, a veggie twist on the classic and made with Homemade Challah Bread, Kale, Roasted Tomato, Avocado and Mint Yogurt.

What to Drink

Fig Lemonades all around! Made with Fig Vodka, St. Germain, and Ginger Ale, this is the most popular drink on the menu.

Sweet Chick LES

THE PLACE

Weekday brunch does exist! This is New York after all. And the newest Monday through Sunday spot to start serving is Sweet Chick. The Williamsburg fried chicken favorite just opened a Lower East Side outpost. Now those summer Fridays can start off just right.

What to Eat

Sweet Chick serves six serious combinations here, from Classic Chicken & Waffles to General Tso's (which has broccoli baked into the waffles). The newest pairing is the Chicken Parm & Waffles. The waffles have sun-dried tomato and basil baked in.

What to Drink

It's the perfect time to order the Summer Bramble, made with Blackberries, Gin, and Elderflower Liqueur. I'll take two please!
