Sotto13 greets you with a boisterous, cheerful atmosphere, and it is one of my favorite brunch spots with a prix fixe. The restaurant exudes an exciting energy that's perfect for a New Year kickoff. I love the high ceilings, giant skylight, and Italian vibes.
What to Eat
Sotto13 provides a "social Italian brunch" where the focus is on sharable plates for the table and fun cocktails. A variety of brunch items and wood-fired pizzas are available. I suggest staying with standard brunch fare-- starting with the French Toast, (Rosemary Foccacia, Brown Butter, Berry Compote, Vermont Maple Syrup) and moving onto the classic Cacio e Pepe (Soft Scrambled Eggs, Cacio Cheese, Cracked Black Pepper). For something more unique, try the Jumbo Lump Crab Scramble (with Tomato, Fennel, Mascarpone, & Lemon).
What to Drink
Sotto13 has a $39 Unlimited All-You-Can-Drink boozy brunch with hefty pours of sangria, mimosas, and bellinis. OR, go for the DIY-Prosecco Tray, that gives you an opportunity to be your own mixologist with prosecco, and a tray of five high-quality mixers including Aperol, fig-infused vodka (amazing btw!), fresh juices, and toss-ins like candied ginger and fresh berries, for an extra $20 per DIY tray.
Brunch reservations are accepted and recommended.
