Upland is an absolutely beautiful restaurant and a class act. While the dinner here may have some mixed reactions, the brunch experience is solid. The interior is gorgeous and makes you feel like you are in for something special when you step inside. The aesthetic is warm, upscale and a little trendy. The decor is a mix of fine wood, forrest green banquettes, navy and white checkered table cloth (that also matches the servers' aprons), and the wooden walls are lined with bottles of wine and jars of lemons. A wonderful job has been done with the lighting that illuminates each jar and bottle.
WHAT TO EAT
Three items really stand out here. The first is the Smoked Salmon Pizza made with cloumage (cheese), sunflower sprouts and caper berries. The second is the Quiche. This isn't just any quiche. It's actually made by Upland's pastry chef and this is the only savory item he does. Try it. And for desert, definitely get the Pancakes.
WHAT TO DRINK
Upland has Bloody Marys and Mimosas for you, and their cocktail menu is also available. Since the weather is nutso and still cold out, you might need something to warm you up. In that case try the Nippers n' Bartleby made with Medley Brothers Bourbon, Cardamaro, Red Jacket Spiced Cider, and Giffard Vanilla.
Brunch reservations are accepted for parties as small as two and are recommended.
