When I meet people out and about the City, at a bar for example, they always ask me for my top brunch spots. Locanda Verde is one I consistently mention among other favorites. The restaurant is an Italian taverna with a popular dinner service, and the brunch is outstanding too. I like the energetic atmosphere and the space's sophisticated yet rustic design. Word to the wise, Locanda Verde isn't the cheapest. And, you'll encounter a trendy attitude at the door. It's all an experience-- just go with it.
What to Eat
Get the lemon ricotta pancakes. They are delicious. I also highly recommend the shrimp and polenta. If you want something eggy, go ahead and try the frittata. Locanda Verde is the only place I can find a frittata that's not overly dry.
What to Drink
To pair with the pancakes, go for the Lemon Frizzante, a mix of Beefeater Gin, Green Chartreuse, Rosemary Syrup, and Prosecco.
Reservations are accepted for parties as small as two.
